Local anaesthesia is used, so you will feel no pain. If necessary, hopelessly damaged teeth are removed and the four implants placed during the same appointment.

Will I get teeth on the same day?
Usually, yes. Once the implants are placed, a temporary fixed prosthesis is attached to them, so you leave the clinic with teeth. The permanent prosthesis is made after the implants have healed.

How is All-on-4 different from a removable denture?
An All-on-4 prosthesis is fixed to the implants, so it does not move, does not cover the palate and lets you chew normally. Only the dentist can remove it. A denture rests on the gums, moves more and over time speeds up bone loss.

Will I need a bone graft?
Usually not. The two back implants are placed at an angle to make use of the bone that is there. We check whether that will be enough in your case on a 3D scan.

Brush twice a day, use a water flosser or special brushes under the prosthesis, and come for a professional cleaning and check-up every six months. This keeps the implants free of inflammation.
