Precise impressions are used to make close-fitting trays in the laboratory, with unique reservoirs that distribute the gel evenly.

Whitening at home
Once you have your trays and the Enlighten Evo Night kit, you whiten conveniently at home: simply sleep in the trays overnight. The process usually takes 14 days.

After the home course you come back to the clinic to review the result. If needed, the process is finished with a session in the dental chair.

What to know before you start
Whitening gel acts only on natural tooth tissue. Fillings, veneers and crowns do not lighten, so always plan restorations on front teeth for after whitening. Only healthy teeth and gums, free of decay and inflammation, can be whitened. Keeping the result is easy: in the first year one night with the gel every two months is enough, and less often after that.

Does whitening damage enamel?
No. Enlighten gels have a neutral pH and are kept cold, so they do not irritate the enamel. Whitening changes the colour of the tooth, not its structure.

Will my teeth be sensitive?
Most patients feel no sensitivity, or only a little that passes within a few days. If sensitivity appears, you can take a break or use a toothpaste for sensitive teeth.

How long does the result last?
A long time, if you maintain it: in the first year one night with the gel every two months is enough, and less often after that. You keep the trays, so maintenance is easy.

Will I have to give up coffee?
No. Unlike many other systems, with Enlighten you do not need to give up coffee, tea or red wine during or after whitening.

Will fillings and crowns whiten too?
No, whitening only works on natural tooth tissue. That is why front-tooth fillings or crowns are best replaced after whitening, matched to the new shade.

Who should not have their teeth whitened?
We do not recommend whitening during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or while there is untreated decay or gum inflammation. In the European Union professional whitening is not done for people under 18.
