Dental implants in Vilnius
Reliable, long-lasting replacement of missing teeth with titanium implants that act as artificial tooth roots.
Replacing missing teeth with implants
When you lose one or more teeth, the jawbone in that spot gradually begins to shrink, and the neighbouring teeth can loosen and drift into the gap. One of the best and most modern ways to prevent that is a dental implant.
An implant is a small screw made of medical-grade titanium. It is placed into the jawbone and takes over the role of a natural tooth root. Titanium is biologically inert, so the body accepts it readily and it causes no allergic reactions.
When is a dental implant the right choice?
An implant replaces not only the visible part of the tooth but its root as well. It is a good option when:
- One tooth is missing and the neighbouring teeth are healthy, so you would rather not shape them for a bridge.
- Several teeth are missing, next to each other or in different places.
- A tooth is broken or decayed so badly that it cannot be saved.
- A removable denture will not stay in place, rubs or gets in the way of speaking. It can be fixed onto implants.
- You want to stop the bone shrinking where a tooth has already been removed.
Implant systems you can rely on
- 01
World-leading brands
We use only well-established implant systems: Swiss, German and American products that carry the manufacturer's warranty.
- 02
Planning from 3D imaging
Before surgery we assess the height and density of the bone on an X-ray, so the implant position is planned before treatment even begins.
- 03
A lasting result
Once the implant has fused firmly with your bone, a new crown or restoration is fitted on top. The new tooth looks and works exactly like a real one.
How does implant treatment go?
From the consultation to the new tooth usually takes 3-6 months. For most of that time the implant is simply healing.
-
Consultation and tests
We examine your mouth, check the bone on an X-ray and go through the plan and the full estimate. If a three-dimensional image is needed, a 3D CT scan is done at a partner clinic.
-
Placing the implant
Under local anaesthetic the implant is placed into the jawbone. The procedure usually takes about an hour.
-
Healing
Over 3-6 months the implant fuses with the bone. In the visible area you can wear a temporary tooth in the meantime.
-
Healing cap
Once the implant has integrated, we fit a healing cap. It shapes a neat gum contour around the future crown.
-
Crown on the implant
We take impressions, the laboratory makes the crown, and we fix it onto the implant. The new tooth looks and works like your own.
Dental implant prices in Vilnius
Replacing one tooth with an implant has three parts: placing the implant, the healing cap and the crown on the implant. All three are priced in the table, so you can work out the estimate in advance. If there is not enough bone, a bone graft is needed, and you will know about it at the consultation.
Prices are a guide. You get an exact estimate after the examination and, if needed, an X-ray.

Frequently asked questions about dental implants
-
Is implant surgery painful?
The implant is placed under local anaesthetic, so you feel no pain during the operation. Afterwards there can be aching or swelling for 2-3 days, but for most people ordinary painkillers are enough.
-
How long does a dental implant last?
A well-integrated, properly cared-for implant can last for decades, often a lifetime. The crown on it sometimes needs replacing sooner, just as on a natural tooth.
-
Are implants suitable for everyone?
For most adults, yes. We are more cautious with uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smoking, untreated periodontitis or certain medicines that affect bone. We do not place implants until the jaw has finished growing.
-
What if there is not enough bone?
Then the bone can be built up, often in the same operation as the implant placement. Whether you need it shows on the X-ray, so you will know before treatment starts.
-
Will I be without a tooth while it heals?
In the front of the mouth we can make a temporary tooth for the healing period, so you are never without one. For back teeth one is usually not needed.
-
How do I look after an implant?
Like a natural tooth: brush twice a day, use interdental brushes or floss, and have a professional cleaning every six months. Plaque around an implant can cause inflammation, so regular care is essential.
-
How much does a whole tooth on an implant cost?
The total is made up of implant placement, the healing cap and the crown, and their prices are in the table above. A bone graft or a temporary crown, if needed, is added separately. You get the full estimate before treatment begins.
