Dental prosthetics at Adadenta dental clinic

Long-lasting dental prosthetics

When a tooth is badly decayed, has cracked, or has been lost altogether, a simple filling is no longer enough. In those cases the specialists at Adadenta restore both function and appearance with prosthetic work. We offer a wide range of restorations, matched to each person's needs and budget.

Before any work begins we carefully assess the condition of the remaining teeth, take images and draw up a clear treatment plan. Your dentist will talk you through every option so the two of you can reach the best decision together.

When do you need a crown or prosthesis?

Prosthetics make sense when a filling is no longer enough, or when teeth are missing. The most common reasons:

  • A large part of the tooth has broken down or chipped off, and a filling would not hold.
  • A back tooth has had root canal treatment and become brittle. A crown will protect it from splitting.
  • One or more teeth are missing and the neighbouring teeth have started to tilt into the gap.
  • Old crowns or bridges have come loose, decay has appeared at their edges, or the gum line has darkened.
  • A removable denture no longer fits, rubs the gums or moves when you chew.
  • You are unhappy with the shape or colour of your front teeth, and fillings cannot give the look you want.

What we can make for you

  1. 01

    Crowns and bridges

We make metal-free ceramic crowns on a zirconia or aluminium oxide base. They look highly natural, transmit light the way enamel does and are exceptionally strong.

  2. 02

    Implant-supported restorations

When more teeth are missing, a restoration can be anchored to implants rather than to natural teeth. It stays firmly in place and spares the neighbouring teeth from being reshaped.

  3. 03

    Micro-restorations

We use ceramic inlays and onlays to rebuild badly broken-down molars, preserving as much healthy tooth as possible.

  4. 04

    Removable dentures

If many teeth are missing, we can make chrome-cobalt framework dentures and other removable restorations, with or without precision attachments.

  5. 05

    Ceramic veneers

When front teeth lack the look you want and a filling cannot achieve a perfect result, the tooth surface can be covered with wafer-thin ceramic shells.

How does the treatment go?

A crown or bridge usually takes two or three visits. Removable dentures and implant work take a few more.

  1. Examination and plan

We check your teeth and gums and take an X-ray if needed. We go through the options, materials and cost, so you know the full estimate before we begin.

  2. Preparing the tooth

Under local anaesthetic we shape the tooth just enough to make room for the crown. If little of the tooth is left, we rebuild its core first.

  3. Impressions and shade

We take precise impressions and choose the shade together, so the new tooth matches its neighbours.

  4. Temporary crown

While the laboratory makes the final work, the tooth wears a temporary crown. It protects the prepared tooth and lets you smile and eat as usual.

  5. Fitting and cementing

We try in the finished crown or bridge, check your bite and the contacts with neighbouring teeth, and then fix it in place.

Prices

Dental prosthetics prices in Vilnius

The material makes the biggest difference to the price. Metal-ceramic is a reliable, more affordable choice, while zirconia looks more natural and suits visible teeth better. If a root canal or a core build-up is needed first, it is charged separately.

Prices are a guide. You get an exact estimate after the examination and, if needed, an X-ray.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about dental prosthetics

  • How long does a crown last?

A well-cared-for crown usually lasts 10-15 years, often longer. What matters most is oral hygiene, regular check-ups and whether you grind your teeth at night. If you do, we recommend a night guard.

  • What is the difference between metal-ceramic and zirconia crowns?

A metal-ceramic crown has a metal frame covered with ceramic. It is strong and cheaper, but over time a darker line can show at the gum edge. Zirconia contains no metal, lets light through much like a natural tooth and is very strong, which makes it especially suitable for front teeth.

  • Does preparing the tooth hurt?

No. We numb the tooth with a local anaesthetic first, so you only feel pressure and vibration. The numbness wears off within a few hours.

  • How many visits will I need?

A single crown or bridge usually takes two or three visits over about two weeks. Removable dentures and implant-supported work need more fitting stages, so we will agree an exact plan at the consultation.

  • One tooth is missing: bridge or implant?

A bridge requires shaping both neighbouring teeth, while an implant leaves them untouched and stops the bone from shrinking. On the other hand, a bridge is quicker and needs no surgery. If the neighbouring teeth already have large fillings or crowns, a bridge can be the sensible choice. We look at each case individually.

  • Is it hard to get used to a removable denture?

For the first few weeks the denture feels foreign, your speech may change slightly and sore spots can appear. Most people adapt within 2-4 weeks. We adjust any sore spots at a follow-up visit, and a soft-plastic denture is more comfortable for sensitive gums.

  • Can I use state compensation or insurance?

We work with the Vilnius Territorial Health Insurance Fund and with insurers Lietuvos draudimas, Compensa, ERGO, BTA and Gjensidige. Check whether compensation or an insurance payout applies to you when you book, and we will help with the paperwork.
